Susan and Joe – an engagement session!

Posted on October 14, 2009

I met Susan last fall. She was one of those people you meet and immediately can tell she is a genuinely nice person.

Susan shared her story about how she met Joe on her blog. She was a bit evasive about exactly what was going on, until she finally shared her BIG story – the engagement. You can read it part 1 and part 2 for yourself if you’d like! So sweet!!!!

So, when Susan contacted me earlier this year and asked if I would photograph her wedding at the end of the year, I was incredibly honored. I am so thrilled to be part of such a wonderful love story!!

The wedding is scheduled for December in a beautiful club in Pittsburgh. But we decided to also get together for some fall engagement photos. Engagement photos are, obviously, just nice to have. But it is also a great opportunity for the photographer to meet the couple before the big day and helps everyone feel a bit more comfortable.

The engagement photo shoot was my first meeting with Joe – and he was just as nice and genuine as Susan. What a great couple!!!!

We met at Moraine State Park. It was a bit overcast, but it was quiet and pretty. And I think we got some beautiful photos of a couple you can just tell are very VERY happy.

Siblings!

Yikes! I have been a bit busy and have definitely not been keeping up with my blogging!

Over a month ago, I had the pleasure of getting portraits for the “E” family kids. Well, even though they are “technically” kids, they are kids that are pretty grown up! We met at a local park on a gorgeous late summer afternoon. It was a bit hot, but very pretty!!

Danielle was so sweet and pretty and enjoyed it all. Her brother, Mitchell? Well, as a young teen boy, he pretty much would prefer to do anything else in the word rather than sit next to his sister and smile for the camera. I didn’t mind – it was completely understandable and we still got a lot of really nice photos!

I mean – look how cute they are!!
