More beautiful senior [light]

Posted on September 30, 2009

I know I may sound like a broken record – but yowza!! Having the right light can add that wow factor to a shoot like nothing else! And it doesn’t hurt to have an absolutely adorable subject as well!!!

Meet Caitlin!

I met Caitlin at a local park for a morning shoot. Everything was absolutely perfect! It was the perfect temperature, perfect light and she was a perfect subject!!

The only thing that was a bit less than perfect were the bugs! We have been infested with black flies late this summer since our state didn’t do their summer spraying to control the populations. So, unfortunately, most of us are really suffering. Including my seniors! The flies just don’t leave us alone and I am spending time Photoshopping swarms of bugs out of otherwise beautiful photos! But, enough of that – back to the photos!

Caitlin was so sweet and so easy going, it was definitely a pleasure working with her!

Caitlin brought along her puppy and we got some beautiful photos of them on the dock.

And I got some photos of just Caitlin on the dock – so pretty!!!

Lovely Senior [light]

Posted on September 22, 2009

Well, this session is a little later in coming than I like, but my entire last week was wild and crazy (and not in a good way) and ended with my beloved computer being in the shop due to a nasty virus. Luckily, our local technician was able to completely overall the whole thing in less than a day. Apparently my computer must have been infected for MONTHS because it was incredibly slow and frustrating. But now I am back up and running -better and faster than ever.

Anyway – I often recommend to my clients that we do a photo session either in the early morning or the late afternoon. Why? Well, the light is nicer, less harsh, more beautiful. And my session with sweet Paige on an early summer evening definitely shows what beautiful light can do!

Our session was perfect in every way. Sweet clients, gorgeous location and, oh yeah, did I mention the light???

Paige is also a golfer so we ended our perfect session with a round of golf! OK, maybe not a round, but I got a few nice shots of Paige in action mere minutes before the sun set.

Thank you all so much! It was wonderful session and I wish you the best in all you do!!

Meet Anna!

Posted on September 8, 2009

A couple weeks ago I had a session with a wonderful senior. Anna is a girl who is going places. She has ambitious goals in life and, I’m sure, will be quite an amazing success in achieving all her dreams.

Anna wanted her shoot to be filled with variety. She wanted many options in both clothing and locations! In fact, she wanted so much variety that we decided we should break up the shoot into two days.

Day one we met in town for some cool shots in one of the alleys. Our little town actually has quite a few neat little alleyways!

We then made our way to her home. Her home was filled with many beautiful areas for photos – from the gardens and swing out front, to the gorgeous vista out back! Of course, it also helped that we had some gorgeous late evening sunshine as well!

Then, on day 2, we ventured down to a beautiful waterfall for some more casual shots.

It was a great session and think we got exactly what Anna wanted – gorgeous photos with a wide variety of looks! Thank you so much!!!!
