Happy Birthday!!!
Posted on June 30, 2009
This past weekend we celebrated the birthdays of two of my little munchkins – Caroline and Kallie. Caroline turned 6 on Sunday, and Kallie turned 4 last Tuesday.
My Kallie actually broke her arm at the beginning on the summer and just got her cast off a week ago. She had to spend the beginning of her summer staying away from sand and water. Not fun for a little one.
My Caroline is my sweet special needs daughter. She was lucky enough to get a swimming pool last year through Make a Wish. She absolutely LOVES her pool and can float around there for hours.
So, for this year’s birthday bash, we decided a big ole pool party was definitely in order. The weather was absolutely perfect, and, with lots of kids and lots of cupcakes, we all had a grand time!
Summer is here! It’s senior picture season!

It has been a while since my last post! And, yes, I am still here!!!
You see, they may call these days “the lazy days of summer”, but we have been quite busy! Although our “busy” stuff has really just been a whole lot of fun stuff.
There has been evenings spent picnicking and kayaking!
And gorgeous sunny afternoons spent relaxing on our local beaches!
And there was a wedding!! My oldest daughter was thrilled to be a flower girl for the first time for this beautiful bride!
I wasn’t the photographer this time, I got to relax and enjoy the festivities! But you may remember the bride – she and her hubby were kind enough to let me try some engagement pictures last year.
And I am gearing up for senior picture season! I am so excited! Seniors are fun and usually eager for cool, original and creative ideas. I am looking forward to trying out some new locations and meeting lots of new people!
Since this is my first official senior season, I am keeping my rates low while I continue to gain more experience.
If you would like to book your session, please contact me soon! I am only going to schedule a limited number of sessions this season so I can be sure I have plenty of time devoted for every client. Even though the actual session lasts an hour or so, I spend many more hours afterward making sure your photos are the absolute best they can be. I refuse to book too many sessions, and not be able to devote the time on each session that I want.
And to all the seniors who have already scheduled their session – I am really looking forward to working with you. Thank you so much!!
Beach Baby!

Last weekend, I had a wonderful opportunity to take photos for one of my oldest friends who was taking on a fairly monumental task…….babysitting her one year old nephew for 5 days! I was quite impressed with her bravery, as I am not sure I would want to take on such a task….but she did a great job and had such a great attitude!
Since this little munchkin lives out of town, I hadn’t the opportunity to meet him yet. So, when he arrived in town, we made plans to finally get together. We decided to do a photo session at one of my most favorite places in the world…Presque Isle Beach.
Growing up in Erie, I loved our little beach. It isn’t the ocean, but it was 15 minutes from my home so I could visit it almost any time I wanted – whether it was the middle of summer or the middle of winter. Those beaches are filled with so many great memories – sunning, swimming, boating, biking, running, rollerblading, hiking or just taking a drive….I loved that place (still do). And now I enjoy bringing my own little ones there.
Anyway, we found a quiet little beach with no people, and plopped little Max down. He wasn’t the happiest little baby that afternoon. Sadly, we think he was just suffering from a bit of homesickness. But he was still such a trooper and was amazingly tolerant of the strange lady with the camera.
And here he is – Mr. Blue Eyes, dressed to be perfectly coordinated with the beach setting!
“Lady, you are seriously getting on my nerves.”
“Hi guys.”
