The "F" Family!
Posted on December 31, 2008
I recently, and finally, got to take some photos of the “F” family kids . I happen to know these little munchkins quite well as they are none other than my niece and nephew!!
We met at a local park that I thought would make an amazing backdrop for photos…and I was right! Even in the dead of winter, the park was gorgeous and offered an endless supply of locations for photos. I could have stayed there all day taking photos – although the kids may not have been too keen on that idea.
I, personally, thought the photos were some of my best so far. The lighting was perfect, the backdrops were amazing, and the subjects? Well, check them out for yourself! These are some very photogenic kiddos!!!
I got some great close-ups of each of them:
And then we had to get some photos with the hats on!
We got quite a few nice shots of the kids together:
And we ended the session with a nice kiss from big brother. Although I am not sure little sister was too happy about it.
Thank you all so much! We are definitely doing this again!!!!
The "L" family!

Last weekend I met up with the “L” family! Mom really wanted to get some photos of her adorable 4 year old son and their new boxer puppy.
Unfortunately, when you take a 4 year old and his puppy out to a playground on a very cold afternoon, things don’t always work out as planned. We weren’t able to take much time for their little boy to get to know me since everyone was eager to just get the photos done and get back into their warm cars!
But, at first, he was fairly cooperative in letting me, this very strange photographer lady, take some photos of him. He had the absolutely cutest little look on his face. And you just know he doesn’t completely trust me. But I tried to quickly warm up to him and I was able to capture some very nice shots.
Look at those blue eyes!! Wow!!
The "G" family!!

Last weekend I met the wonderful “G” family! They were so fun and up for anything and everything. We took photos inside, outside, on their playground, by the river and even up in trees. It was a great experience!!
I was happy that I was able to capture such natural shots of this family interacting with each other. After only a short time with them, it was obvious that they are genuinely nice people who love their boys very much.
"R" family portraits!

They wanted to get some portrait type shots of their entire family – including grandparents!
Just playing around
Posted on December 12, 2008
I was just playing around last night, trying to get some photos of my girls during these dark days of winter (actually it is still fall, although around here is has been winter-like for weeks already!).
I was replicating natural light by turning on a bunch of bright lights. Which, amazingly, seemed to work quite well!
