Thanks to a willing neighbor, I was able to bring my camera to a weekend birthday party my kids were invited to. It was a nice opportunity to photograph kids other than my own. And my own kiddos had a great time as well!

The birthday girl was all aglow:

And her little cousin, although too young to join in the fun, was just TOO sweet!!! She really makes me miss having my own little babies!

This weekend, I attempted some family portraits for my sister and her crew.

The setting was perfect.

The lighting was perfect.

The day SEEMED perfect.

But it wasn’t completely perfect….as all members of the group weren’t completely jazzed about taking photos on that seemingly perfect day.

However, it was actually a good experience for me. As I attempted to salvage a few nice shots. And amazingly, I really like the shots we got! They look natural and they definitely capture the family’s personalities!!

And then things got a little crazy..

And the kids were OUTTA there.

I snapped a few shots of the happy couple…and the shoot was over.
